About Mario Party (1998)

Mario Party for the Nintendo 64 is the original entry in the long-running party game franchise. Featuring a colorful cast of Mushroom Kingdom characters, it combines classic board-game mechanics with fast-paced mini-games that challenge timing, luck, and skill. Players move around themed boards, collecting coins and stars while triggering events that can completely change the outcome of the match.

Designed for multiplayer chaos, Mario Party quickly became a staple of local couch co-op gaming. With a range of inventive mini-games and a focus on easy-to-learn mechanics, it remains a nostalgic favorite for Nintendo 64 fans and an important foundation for the many sequels that followed.
